About this deal

Add gin, ice, and simple syrup to a glass. If adding any herbs, add to glass and lightly press against glass to release some oil and aroma into drink. The base for this gin is a classic dry gin, infused with your typical gin botanicals. Added to that are the mandarin and grapefruit. Together with the other botanicals, they create a gin that gives sweet and zesty notes of blood orange. There’s also a slight hint of fennel in the spirit. Jared Brown recommends serving this gin with a Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic and an orange wheel as a garnish. 5. Whitley Neill is a family-run gin distillery that has been passed down for 8 generations. Over the years, the Whitley Neill family created a classic dry gin, which is now used in their many flavored variations. Even though Malfy isn’t as well-known as Beefeater, they have made quite a name for themselves as one of the best citrus-forward gins. When you take a sip of this gin, you’ll be met with coriander and juniper-forward flavor. This might not be what you expected, but don’t worry, the blood orange and fig will follow closely.

You can skip the simple syrup or use it to counteract a bit of Malfy Con Arancia's light bitterness with just a splash of simple syrup - even if you're using a tonic with sugar in it (I usually use diet tonics) - to smooth out the bitter blood orange flavor and pull forward more of the raspberry-like flavors blood orange is known for. The color of this gin will tell you all you need to know about its flavor. It is colored dark orange, representing the jammy orange flavors.

Along with the sweet and juicy taste of orange, you can also notice some floral accents. Hints of rose and lavender are present, giving off an aromatic and fresh feel. After our long list of top-notch gins, you can surely say that your mind is blown. That said, we are certain that one or two will surely capture your fancy.

However, even on its own, or served with tonic or ginger ale, this gin will be perfect. It’s a true all-rounder, perfect for a gin veteran or someone who’s looking for their first gin.

However, the flavors of this gin are quite subtle. The flavors are definitely there but on the lighter side. This isn’t a bad thing, but if you’re looking for a gin with intense orange flavors, this isn’t the one. The flavor itself is wonderful as well. A beautiful touch of orange, paired with the spices gives you a flavor you’d expect; warm, fruity, and full of body. The Whitley Neill Blood Orange gin is one of their many great award-winning gins, and their blood orange gin itself won silver at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2018. This award already proves that it is an amazing quality gin. Like most citrus-forward gins, this gin is really versatile and happy with a range of different flavour combinations. However, we think it goes particularly well with woody herb flavours like rosemary and thyme. Which tonic water goes with orange gin?

As you might imagine, we recommend mixing this gin with tonic waters that have herbaceous notes, like Fever-Tree Meditarean Tonic Water. For a garnish, rosemary or thyme or both work really well. Together, they make for a fantastic G&T! The base of this orange-flavored gin is a classic London Dry Gin, and this London Dry is combined with a syrup of raw cacao and orange peel. This way, you get a pure and rich taste that still has the qualities of an actual gin. On the bright side, the color is literally so bright that even a quarter ounce can turn your average Martini into a vivid, unusual hue. In that minute quantity the hint of bitter orange comes through without any of the soapy bitterness. Overall, Malfy Gin Con Arancia Delicious, tart, and refreshing gin and tonic with Malfy Arancia Gin - a blood orange-flavored gin that has a bright pink color and delicious natural citrus flavor.
