[6] As Good As Dead (2021) [ edit ] i feel like the book played too much into the role of celia and while some ppl might like that, all i read abt was constant criticizing and how pip wouldn't do things her character did or working out the details of celia's life to prove she wasn’t the killer. she got too eager when she played the game and it was to the point where she forgot abt the other ppl and stopped seeing them as her friends. pip gave off introverted vibes which i usually don’t mind in a book, but in a group setting differs when u choose to be isolated. this might be a personal irk thing for me tho Book Genre: Contemporary, Crime, Fiction, Murder Mystery, Mystery, Mystery Thriller, Novella, Thriller, Young Adult This was sm fun!! 🤩🤩 I wasn't expecting too much bc it's super short, but it was waay better than I expected!! Just super fun and entertaining 💗💗 I read the whole AGGGTM series last year and LOVED it (despite having mixed feelings on the third one), and I've been meaning to get to it for a while- and I'm soooo glad I finally did!! 🥳 While it was super short, it managed to be so entertaining and fun and reminded me of my love for agggtm 💖

At first, Pip tries to brush off the threats, hoping it is just an internet troll, but as the messages become more frequent and the stalker's presence looms closer and closer to her home, she begins to realise that the danger is real, imminent, and inescapable. Despite her desperate pleas, the police refuse to take her seriously, leaving Pip to face the stalker alone.As Good As Dead received a positive review from The Guardian, who named the book "a taut, compulsively readable, elegantly plotted thriller." Just as you're getting into the whole thing, it's already over. And it felt a bit like that here. I wanted more. More of the murder, more of the solving, more of the explanation. But I suppose it's better to end up wanting more than wanting less, so that's a small complaint.
