Another option for those wanting a professional finish is the glossy 300gsm heavyweight Canon Pro Platinum paper. This has a six-layer construction, is fade-resistant and gives outstanding colour reproduction, particularly with Canon LUCIA PRO and ChromaLife 100 inks. The PIXMA printer range is the largest – and most popular – in the Canon line-up. PIXMA printers use inkjet technology to produce near-photo-quality prints. For most photographers, printing up to A4 size is more than adequate, but there is a semi-professional model, the PIXMA PRO-200, which prints up to A3+ size. No matter how good your printer, you will not be able to produce prints with colours that are fully accurate if your workflow isn't colour-managed. Typically, monitor and laptop screens tend to be too bright and their colours too cool (too blue) compared to normal viewing conditions for prints, so a printed image will look very different from the image on-screen. Ideally you should calibrate your monitor and get your workspace lighting conditions as close as possible to the conditions in which you intend to display your print. When you're printing, Canon recommends using its specialist Professional Print & Layout (PPL) software, which offers powerful soft proofing and hard proofing features to help you match your printed image with what you see on screen. When you do not have many balls left & the path is complex pause your fire temporarily so that many of the balls can traverse the path and you can reach the level goal before your remaining ball count reaches zero. A steeper drop at a more perpendicular angle can cause the balls to bounce higher off of trampoline-like platforms.
