What's more, as tested this is the 14-inch Acer Aspire 5 A514-52-582Y model (15-inch models and variants running AMD processors are also available), so despite the mediocre screen to body ratio this remains a pretty portable device.The sound is fine for just watching some videos on YouTube, but if you want to listen to some decent music then you’ll need to plug some headphones or speakers into the audio socket on the right-hand edge of the laptop. The Aspire 5’s display is fine for productivity work but doesn’t offer the colors needed for creative tasks. The biggest reason the last year’s Aspire 5 received a low score was its display, which was the worst we’ve seen in a laptop in years.
